Welcome in the world of Triglav fairytales!

Bled in Bohinj

Bled will be admired first from a panoramic view and then from a walk along the Lake Promenade.  The route continues with a stroll through old Bled under the castle around St Martin’s Church. A walk uphill to the castle follows, to enjoy the most famous view of the Lake, illustrated in all the guidebooks and books of Slovenia.  After looking at the museum collection in the castle, the popular cream cakes ‘Bled kremšnite' are ready for you to taste. Lunch at Bled and transportation to Bohinj. The first stop is the monument to the Four Courageous Men who first climbed Triglav in 1778. A short walk to the Church of St John the Baptist follows and after that a longer walk along the shore of Lake Bohinj. Transportation is organized to Ukanc and then a walk again to the beautiful Waterfall Savica. Then the tour takes the visitors to the upper part of Bohinj with its villages. A stop is planned at a cheese factory where excellent Bohinj cheese is produced. It is open only in the afternoon in July and August.

Variation 2: A cable car ride to Vogel is an option instead of visiting the Savica Waterfall. It is difficult to say ‘no’ to a fabulous view of the mountains, with Triglav in the centre.
