Cultural events and festivities
Many different events occur through the whole year providing interest for all generations.
We invite you to them!
Aljaž days
Every
year end of August there is a three day event with different
activities, Shows and guests. Every year Aljaz days begin with painting
exhibitions in Vrata valley and Photo gallery auction in the Culture
house in Dovje. On the last day there is a hike to Vrata valley and a
memorial Mass in the small Chapel.
Under Psnak tree
This is a festival where the women of Zgornja Radovna present traditional cooking and baking.
Village evening
A
traditional folk evening with more than 20 years of history, is
celebrated in the centre of the village of Dovje. A
Cultural program is ended with Slovenian traditional music and dancing.
Evening illumination of waterfall Peričnik
During
the Christmas and New Year holidays (25.12. - 6.1.) the waterfall is
illuminated in the evening hours. It is a one hour walk along a snowy
path, from the last house in Mojstrana . We advise you to wear winter
jackets and suitable shoes and to bring a torch. In case of bad weather

Live Christmas Crib Performance
The
Ice climbers Sport Association invites us every winter to
the beautiful Live Christmas Crib Performances. Shows are on
25th-30th December and 1st-2nd January at 16.00, 17.00, 18.00 and
19.00. There is an Entrance fee.
Slovenian evenings
In
the summer every Thursday, there is a special evening program for
guests who would like to get a better inside view on Slovenia, Dovje -
Mojstrana and the Triglav National Park. These evenings are
organised by the Tourist Information Centre. Guests can try some
traditional Slovenian dishes and drinks, listen to accordion
playing and later see a slide show. Any one who would like to see the
show can indicate their attendance at the Tourist Centre or at
their accommodation reception.
