TIPS FOR TRIPS
There are a lot of possibilities for exploring natural beauties. As a matter of interest, you can choose regarding how fit and enthusiastic you are:
·Educational Nature Trail:
In the valleys Vrata, Radovna and Krma are several nature trails with information boards. They are easy to access, suitable for all generations and they allow special inside view on nature itself.
·Culture and nature sightseeing:
You can find more detailed description on points of interest on our previous pages. Most of them can be visited throughout the whole year, only in winter the valleys are difficult to access.
·Mountains tops of Julian Alps and Karavanke:
The most famous in the Julian Alps is Mt. Triglav, where lead several hiking and climbing routes. Also very popular are the peaks over 2000 m; Škrlatica, Stenar, Rjavina, Cmir etc. The Karavanke mountain range is slightly lower, easier to access and offers a magnificent view over the Julian Alps. For more demanding hikers Kepa is suitable, the second highest peak in Karavanke, after Stol. For less demanding hikers Mt. Baba and alp Rožca offer nice views. As view points Mt. Črna gora, alp Vrtaška planina and Jerebikovec on Plateau Mežakla are also interesting.

Hiking and climbing are just one of the outdoor activities. You can free climb on the artificial wall in Mojstrana Gym or on the rock wall Blaščeva skala in Karavanke. If you prefer mountain biking, you can visit all four alpine valleys and even several routes in Karavanke on your bike. You can also try riding a horse in Radovna valley, play tennis or basketball and fish.
In winter time there is a ski slope in Mojstrana with a skating ring beside it. There are several cross country ski routes as well. Snowy slopes of the mountains offer skiing in the wild nature (only for experienced skiers). In Mlačca gorge every year there is an artificial frozen waterfall made for all who would like to learn ice climbing.

ORGANISED TRIPS
The Tourist information centre Dovje - Mojstrana every summer organises several trips. They are twice a week and free of charge. Their main purpose is to animate guests and to present them some of the mountains in Karavanke and Julian Alps which are not very known but are still very interesting.
